Caio Fonseca (born 1959) is an American artist.
He was raised in
New York City . He has lived, studied and painted inBarcelona ,Spain ;Pietrasanta , a town on the coast of northernTuscany inItaly , in theprovince of Lucca ; andParis . Fonseca now divides his time between Pietrasanta and hisManhattan studio.His paintings have been acquired by public and private collections in Europe and the United States, including the
Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.He was the 2004 artist-in-residence at the
Music@Menlo chamber music festival inMenlo Park, California .References
