Young Scientists of Australia

The Young Scientists of Australia organization is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of science in Australia to the 15 - 25 year old demographic. The organization consists of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane chapters, as well as regional coordinators in many parts of Australia. Recently, the organisation has expanded to have chapter in Perth.

The organization is involved in organizing the Siemens Science Experience in Universities around Australia and organizes numerous social events, as well as publishing its own newsletter to members.Each chapter also organizes other social activities for their members, and ways of promoting science to the general demographic. Some examples are:Science shows, which demonstrate various aspects of science, usually to High-School audiences. Assisting at various science promotion events, such as National Science WeekThe production of a radio Science show in Melbourne on SYN Radio during the Summer of 2006-2007.
