Dawn Morrell is an American politician and registered nurse from Washington. She is a former Democratic member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 25th Legislative District. Her district encompassed the city of Puyallup, portions of the cities of Milton, Fife and Edgewood and the unincorporated communities of Midland, Summit-Waller and South Hill. She works as a critical care nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.
Political career
Morrell was first elected to office in November 2002 and was subsequently re-elected in 2004, 2006 and 2008. She was defeated by Hans Zeiger in 2010.
During her service in the Washington State House of Representatives, Morrell was Vice Chair of the House Health Care Committee and Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Veterans' and Military Affairs. She also served on the Select Committee on Environmental Health and the Appropriations and Rules Committees.
