Frederic Wayne Imus (born
January 11 ,1942 inLos Angeles, California ) is an Americanradio talk show host and the younger brother of radio talk show hostDon Imus . Currently he hosts "Trailer Park Bash", a weekly country music program launched onMay 6 ,2006 , on Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET onSirius Satellite Radio . Imus broadcasts his show from his trailer inTucson, Arizona . He frequently appears as a regular guest on "Imus in the Morning ".Career
Imus served in the
US Army , restored cars, especially 1957 Chevys, and worked as a brakeman for theSouthern Pacific Railroad . While with Southern Pacific, he met fellow brakemanPhil Sweet , and in1976 the two wrote the No. 1 country hit forJim Ed Brown andHelen Cornelius , “I Don’t Want to Have to Marry You,” which was also voted “Song of the Year” by Music City News in1977 . Imus has been an on-air host at country music stations inCleveland, Ohio ,Cheyenne, Wyoming andEl Paso, Texas , among others.
