Yapham is a village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, Northern England. It is situated about 2 miles north east of Pocklington.Together with the hamlet of Meltonby it forms the civil parish of Yapham cum Meltonby.

Many people believe that Yapham was created by a run-away group from the near by Bishop Wilton (colloq. WILLTONHEADS)who didnt want to keep in the same gene-pool for years to come.
This new generation of Yapham-ites were successful in finaly breeding a new type of people, who were deemed by the patrons of Pocklingtons free houses as 'celebrities'. Names include but are not limited to:

Yapham has also been at the forefront of sports in Yorkshire now for a number of Years, teams include:

Yapham Badgers RUFC (recently finishing second in the Yorkshire 1 division)
