The Vanguard School is a public high school in Colorado Springs. It was created as an extension of Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy, operating a 9th grade during the 2006-07 school year and adding a grade each year until 2009.

History

Its name refers to the mascot of Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy, the vanguard. When the school district approved the change in the school's contract to expand its program, the school board asked that the new school's name not be similar to the district's Cheyenne Mountain High School.
