Except in the case of their wives or those whom their right hands possess is an often referred to part of a verse that appears in two Qur'anic verses of Al-Muminun and Al-Maarij.

It is often quoted in relation to the topics of Islam and slavery, Sexuality in Islam, Islam and masturbation, Nikah Mut'ah and others, and has been used by different people to forward arguments regarding the illegality of doing masturbation, engaging in a Nikah Mut'ah or used to prove the legality of having sexual relations with wives and captives.
