Spirit Halloween Superstores, founded in 1982 by Joseph Marver in San Francisco, California, is a nationwide specialty retailer of Halloween merchandise with 434 stores across 46 states. Spirit sells a wide assortment of costumes for men, women, and children, accessories, masks, wigs, makeup, lighting, party goods, and indoor and outdoor decorations through its stores and its year-round online shopping site. Spirit is also known for its unique animated decor only available at these stores.

The stores, now a division of Spencer's Gifts, are located as temporary shops in many shopping centers and malls, and as such, their locations have changed from year-to-year and are typically in operation during the Halloween shopping season from September to October. In most of the Mid-Atlantic portions of America, California and Florida, its' main rival is Halloween Adventure, based out of Philadelphia suburb Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. In addition, the company has branched out into the Christmas season after October 31st by adding holiday decorations and other items as "Spirit Christmas Shops".
