Loo-Kee is a fictional character in the animated television series "".

Character information

Loo-Kee is a small Etherian creature who resembles a chipmunk. He belongs to a race of beings known as Conceals.cite web|url=http://www.he-man.org/cartoon/episode_reviews/review.php?episodeNumber=PP071|title=Loo-Kee's Sweety|publisher=He-Man.org|accessdate=2006-12-18] Loo-Kee follows She-Ra and the other members of The Rebellion, while hidden behind trees, bushes and other objects. At the end of every episode, Loo-Kee emerges and asks the viewer if they had seen where he had been hiding. He then reveals to the viewer where he had been hiding, and then relates the moral of the story. Other than this, the character makes only two "full" appearances throughout the entire series.

In the episode, "Loo-Kee Lends a Hand", Hordak, with the help of Shadow Weaver, manages to plant a time-stop device into The Whispering Woods.cite web|url=http://www.he-man.org/cartoon/episode_reviews/review.php?episodeNumber=PP055|title=Loo-Kee Lends a Hand|publisher=He-Man.org|accessdate=2006-12-18] When the device is activated it causes time in the woods to stand still. This causes Loo-Kee to wake up and he tries to find somewhere to hide. But he notices that things are too quiet in the woods. He travels to the camp to check on the Rebels only to find them frozen in time. He is then transported to The Crystal Castle via a portal. Light Hope informs Loo-Kee that his powers are weakening due to the effects of Hordak's device, and that he should travel to Eternia to get Prince Adam. Light Hope tells Loo-Kee that Adora and Adam are really She-Ra and He-Man. Loo-Kee travels through the portal to Eternia in search of Adam. As he exits the portal he realises that the portal has opened into Snake Mountain.

Skeletor, oblivious to Loo-Kee tells his minions about a plan to open a portal to the Palace of Eternia so that he can overthrow King Randor and assume the throne. He says the portal can only be used by one person, and as it opens Loo-Kee escapes from Skeletor and foils his plan at the same time. His arrival in Eternia awakens Adam, Cringer and Orko. Loo-Kee tells Adam about the situation on Etheria and they go to The Sorceress of Castle Grayskull to seek her guidance. She tells them that they will be protected from the effects of the device, because Orko and Loo-Kee are magical beings and the Sword of Power will protect He-Man. Adam transforms and The Sorceress sends them to Etheria. He-Man uses the power of his sword to release Adora from the effects and she turns into She-Ra. She and He-Man then drag the device out of the woods and disrupt its effects, they then smash open the box and destroy the energy source. She-Ra then kicks the device all the way back to Hordak in the Fright Zone.

In "Loo-Kee's Sweety", when a group of Conceals, including Loo-Kee's father are captured, a young female Conceal, Laa-See, escapes to The Whispering Woods in an attempt to get help. When she arrives in the Woods she informs Loo-Kee that his father has been captured by Catra, and the other Conceals need help. Adora turns into She-Ra and the three travel back to Beast Island, where the Conceals are being held. When they arrive Laa-See suggests using the tunnels they had been using to enter Beast Island to feed the prisoners. Catra, having thought about this option had placed a trap there, and the three fall into a hole, She-Ra and Laa-See falling into a slime pit and Loo-Kee saving himself by using his tail. Slime Pig reveals that he has a liquid which will release them from the slime but he will not let them have it. Loo-Kee snatches the liquid from him, but She-Ra chastises him and tells him to give it back, telling him that rebels do not take things which don't belong to them. Loo-Kee does as she says and apologizes. The act of kindness affects the Slime Pig so much that he uses the liqiud to release them from the slime. She-Ra gets back to the surface, frees the Conceals and tosses Catra into the slime pit.

Powers and abilities

Loo-Kee has magical abilities, but as he points out in "Loo-Kee Lends a Hand", they are only for hiding, although in the aforementioned episode he demonstrated limited teleportation when he magically "moved" from Skeletor's head after ending up in Snake Mountain. Nonetheless, it was his job to teach the viewers about the morals of the story.
