Metabolic Stability Hypothesis

The Metabolic Stability Hypothesis is an idea presented in the Juvenon Health Journal that lifespan of an organism can be related to its metabolic rate, and that greater longevity is experienced in those with stable metabolisms able to handle stress. It explains why humans would not benefit the way mice do from Calorie restriction due to their already superiorly stable metabolisms.
