Urszula Gacek

Urszula Gacek (born 17 March 1963 in Urmston) is a Polish member of the European Parliament, representing Platforma Obywatelska. She studied at Oxford University and had worked as a financial analyst and an author of chemical and energy publications before entering politics.

Political Life

Gacek served as a member of the Polish Senate for the Civic Platform party between 2005 and 2007 and has been the party's deputy chair of the Małopolska region of Poland since 2006. She became an MEP for the Civic Platform party on 6 December 2007, and sits with her colleagues in the EPP-ED group, serving on the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and the Delegation for relations with the Palestinian Legislative Council.
