St Chad's R.C Primary School

St Chad's Roman Catholic Primary School (colloquially known as St Chad's RC Primary School) is a Roman Catholic primary school located in Manchester,which educates pupils ages 3–11.

As of 2006, the head teacher is Mrs. Janina Chinnery. [ [http://www.st-chads.manchester.sch.uk/ St Chad's RC Primary School ] ] According to the UK Department for Education and Skills, total enrolment for 2005 was 223 students. [ [http://www.dfes.gov.uk/cgi-bin/performancetables/dfepx1_05.pl?School=3523434 St Chad's RC Primary School ] ] In the 2004 OFSTED report, the school was rated satisfactory across the board, with exception to standards achievement which was unsatisfactory, and values and attitude which was rated as "good". Billy Hopkins, best-selling author of OUR KID, is a former pupil - Gus Thomas, who was named as his teacher in the book, being in reality Gus Travers, a famous former headteacher of St Chad's.
