The GERC employeed about eight employees and only had one locomotive painted for it, a Blue and white GP38-2 lettered for Gateway Eastern, and numbered 2000. It also only owned one hyrail vehicle. Interchange was with its parent Gateway Western Railway, Conrail, and the Southern Pacific Railroad subsidiary, SPCSL.
