Eden Ben Basat ( _he. עדן בן בסט; born September 8, 1986) is an Israeli footballer currently plying his trade at Hapoel Haifa F.C..

Biography

Playing career

Ben Basat grew in the red side of Haifa, in Hapoel Haifa FC, but he realized that in order to be a greater player he must move to the youth academy of Maccabi Haifa F.C.. Already in the U-16 team he had scored a lot of goals, and made a seasonal average of more than 20 goals.

Ben Basat had been involved with all the national teams of Israel at all ages, and many scouts are predicting him to have a very bright future in the Israel national football team. As a top player and scorer in the Israel youth teams, Ronny Levy had joined him to the first team of Maccabi Haifa F.C.. He made his first appearance on December 19, 2004 against Hapoel Nazareth Illit.

Ben Basat is the only player from Israel invited to play in the Europe team against England, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Football Association. In this game he scored one of the goals. For Ben Basat, according to 2005/2006 3 Ligat ha'Al goals, and one goal in the Israel State Cup.
