Thomas Cuthbert Worsley (1907–1977), who wrote as T. C. Worsley, was a British teacher, writer, and
theatre andtelevision critic.Biography
T. C. Worsley was born on
December 10 ,1907 , inDurham . He was educated at the Llandaff Cathedral school and then atMarlborough College . Following this he went toSt John's College, Cambridge University where he read classics. In 1929 he became an assistant master atWellington College, Berkshire . WithStephen Spender he went to Spain during theSpanish Civil War , some of his experiences being recorded decades later in "Fellow Travellers". He later worked for the left-wing magazineNew Statesman as literary editor and drama critic. In 1958 he moved to theFinancial Times as theatre and television critic.
