nihongo|Yumiko Igarashi|いがらしゆみこ|Igarashi Yumiko|born 26 August 1950 in Asahikawa, Hokkaidō is a female Japanese mangaka and artist. She is a resident of Sapporo, Hokkaido.

In 1968, as a third-year high school student at the Asahi Gaoka High School in Sapporo, Hokkaidō, she made her debut in Shueisha's "Ribon" manga magazine with "Shiroi Same no iru Shima". She won the 1st Kodansha Manga Award in 1977 as the artist of "Candy Candy".cite web | url=http://www.hahnlibrary.net/comics/awards/kodansha.shtml | author=Joel Hahn | title=Kodansha Manga Awards | work=Comic Book Awards Almanac | accessdate=2007-08-21]

In 1990’s she infringed on the copyrights of the original authors of her manga and TOEI’s trademark right. Kyoko Mizuki, the original author of "Candy Candy", accused Igarashi of breach of contract. After the judgment on the case of "Candy Candy" misappropriation, the museum which Igarashi’s accomplice nihongo|Seiko Mitsushiro |三城誠子| Mitsushiro Seiko manages displayed "Candy Candy" arts without Mizuki’s permission.
