Sit-down hydrofoil

The sit-down hydrofoil is a type of water ski that is used for flying over the water behind a towboat. The sit-down hydrofoil was invented by Mike Murphy and Bob Wooley [ [http://www.hydrofoil.org/history.html Welcome to USHA ] ] . The air board is a modified hydrofoil where the skier stands up. Use

In order to "float" upward the skier must lean back while maintaining balance so he doesnt eat it on his face. To go back down simply lean forward. The main board is made of a fiber glass material usually. At the bottom of the board is a long strut usually around 3 feet and is connected to a wing shaped piece which allows the rider to turn and go up and down.
