Jeremy Francis John Bowen (born
6 February 1960 , inCardiff ) is a Welshjournalist andtelevision presenter .Bowen was educated at
Cardiff High School ,University College London (BA History) and thePaul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies atJohns Hopkins University inWashington, DC .He joined the
BBC in 1984 and has been awar correspondent for much of his career, reporting from more than 70 different countries, predominantly in theMiddle East and inBosnia-Herzegovina during the civil war there. During his stint as BBC'sRome correspondent , he covered the death of Pope John Paul II. Soon thereafter, Bowen became the BBCMiddle East Editor.On
11 May 2008 , Bowen and hiscamera operator came inMount Lebanon . Nobody was injured and the incident was caught on camera.
