Jelick ( _tr. yelek) is the
bodice orvest of a Turkish woman's dress. Jelick is typically a sleeveless and collarless garment and usually has small pockets on the sides. Traditional jelicks are generally embroidered and made out of silk cloth as well as velvet and leather.Historical use

Ottoman Empire was similar to that worn by Muslim women in theMiddle East . Jelick was worn over a knee-length, white, sleeved chemise called "gömlek" and usual full trousers called "şalvar" wrapped by a decorative waist sash called "kuşak".
