Son of a Gun was the debut single by Edinburgh alternative rock group The Vaselines.

The title-song of this EP came to a wider audience after Nirvana covered the song, along with "Molly's Lips", on their album "Incesticide". Because of this, the song has become a fan favorite (both of Nirvana and The Vaselines).
