Its American division is OPPO Digital, Inc.
OPPO Digital, Inc., is an electronics manufacturer based in Mountain View, California United States. It is primarily known for its upconverting DVD and Blu-ray Disc players.
OPPO Digital Inc. and OPPO.SE (Europe), OPPO Korea, and OPPO.COM (China) are the same brand, but completely different divisions. OPPO Digital Inc. designs and manufacturers its own products to facilitate regional needs.[citation needed]
OPPO Digital was founded in California in 2004.[3] Their first product was the OPPO OPDV971H Up-Converting Universal DVD Player.[4]
Its universal Blu-ray Disc player, the BDP-83 has received favorable reviews from several home theater publications, online retailers, and gadget review sites.[5][6][7][8]
A new player, the BDP-93 was released in 2011, featuring 3D compatibility and dual HDMI signal output. This will be followed by the BPD-95 whose video performance will be identical in all respects with the BDP-93, but with an improved analogue audio output section.[9] However, both BDP-93/95 models are reported with compatibility issues with Sony 3D Bravia LCD-TVs,[10] as well as sub-title character display problems.[11]
