He is first introduced as Recca Hanabishi's rival, but teams up with him later on when they had to rescue Fūko Kirisawa. Nobuo Tobita provides his voice in the original Japanese version of the anime, while Adam Hunter provides his voice in Viz Media's English version. Profile

Domon is a student from Nashikiri High School, where the other "Flame of Recca" protagonists (except Kaoru Koganei) study. He is known for his prowess in physical strength and in fighting, and is referred to as Nihongo|"Ogre"|鬼|Oni by other students that he has defeated in fights.cite book |last= Nobuyuki|first= Anzai|title= Flame of Recca Volume 07|chapter= Extra chapter|publisher= Shogakukan]

Domon is first portrayed as someone who wants to defeat Recca, and it is revealed that the true reason behind this is that Fūko told him that he could only challenge her if he manages to defeat Recca. He is unable to defeat Recca despite his numerous attempts, and he eventually aids the latter in defeating and rescuing Fūko when she is brainwashed by Kage Hōshi. Afterward, both and Fūko join forces with Recca and remain allied with him throughout the rest of the series.

Characteristics

Domon is depicted as someone who is physically strong, but intellectually inept.cite book |last= Nobuyuki|first= Anzai|title= Flame of Recca Volume 10|chapter= 97|publisher= Shogakukan] Another of his assets is his strong will-power, which is recognized even by one of the series' antagonists, Kurei, after Domon manages to thwart Noroi's efforts to erase his memories due to his will-power.

Weapons and abilities

Domon uses multiple madōgu throughout the series, the first being the "Dosei no Wa" (Ring of Saturn), which enhances his physical strength. He unwittingly acquires the said "Dosei no Wa" when Kagerō secretly replaces his nose ring with it. The next madōgu he acquires is the "Kuchibashi-Ō" (Beak King), which he obtains after defeating its initial owner, Kuchibashimaru. The "Kuchibashi-Ō" is composed of a large, beak-like contraption that is connected to a chain, and it is often used to grab opponents or strike them with great force. The last madōgu Domon acquires in the series is the "Tetsugan" (Iron Ball), which he obtains when Kokū gives it to him. Domon swallows it by accident during his battle against Noroi, but that was how the madōgu was supposed to be utilized in the first place.
