The Houndcats

"The Houndcats" was a 1970s animated television series shown on the NBC television network. It followed a "" type plot and was headed by a group of bumbling half-dog/half cats.

These "Houndcats" were led by Stutz who normally stayed cool and confident most of the time. Then there was Dingdong, his second in command who almost always did the wrong thing at the wrong time. MusselMutt was the muscle of the group - A large bulky dog-looking houndcat.(Resembling an Old English Sheepdog.) Then there was PuttyPuss - who like Putty could easily change his appearance. He was the disguise member of the group. Lastly Rhubarb was the do-it-all scientist who was capable of inventing just about anything, anytime. He wore a long coat and had a vast array of gadgets hidden therein. The group travelled in a Stutz Bearcat named Sparkplug.

The series was broadcasted by NBC from September 9 to December 2, 1972. NBC continued to air reruns until September 1, 1973.
