"So Simple", musically continues the direction set by the album's first single "I'm Not Missing You", by having a R&B/Pop vibe to it. The song is basically based around the concept "less is more" and that life should be simple but we as human beings complicate it. This is illustrated by the lyrics present in both the pre-hook of the song and the chorus below.

The single is due for release in January 26, 2007 in Europe and Australia at around the same time. It was already released in Southeast Asia in October 2006.

The video for "So Simple" has been directed by Ray Kay, who has directed videos for the likes of Nick Lachey, Christina Milian, Destiny's Child and Melanie C. The video was shot in Calabasas, California between the 8th and 9th of September 2006.
