Okabashi Brands, Inc.

Okabashi Brands, Inc., founded in the early 1980 by Bahman Irvani, is a manufacturer of shoes. Located in Buford, Georgia, over the past 30 years they have sold over 100 million pairs of shoes through their websites and such outlets as Right-Aid, CVS and Walgreens pharmacies.

The shoes are made of a material called Microplast(tm). The material is combination of PVC and rubber, making the shoes sturdy yet flexible. They also contain antimicrobial agents and are machine washable.

The shoes are designed with reflexology in mind and have massage beds built into the sole.

In 2006, Okabashi was endorsed by the American Chiropractic Association. It is the only shoe to carry this endorsement.

In the last couple years, the company created a new line called Oka b. While Okabashi shoes have US$10–$16 price points, Oka b. has $16–$25 price points. This new Oka b. line is marketed mainly through spas, the internet and QVC.
