bonuses = The Prix de Pomone is a Group 2 flat horse race in France open to thoroughbred fillies and mares which are three-years-old or above. It is run over a distance of 2,500 metres (approximately 1 mile and 4½ furlongs) at Deauville Racecourse, and it takes place annually in August.

It was first run in 1920 and named after Pomona (French name "Pomone"), the Roman goddess of fruit trees, gardens and orchards. Races for fillies in France have traditionally been given the names of such mythological figures – others have included "Astarté", "Diane" and "Minerve".

Due to World War II the Prix de Pomone was cancelled in 1940 and 1944. For the remainder of the war, while its regular venue was closed, the race was switched temporarily to Maisons-Laffitte (1941–43, 1945). It has otherwise continually taken place at Deauville.

From its launch until 1962 the race was contested over 2,400 metres. Thereafter it was run over 2,600 metres until it was extended to 2,700 metres in 1973. The race continued at this length for thirty years – the fastest winning time during this period was 2m 56.3s, recorded by Bimbola in 1999. The present distance, 2,500 metres, was set in 2004.

When the present system of race grading was introduced in 1971, the Prix de Pomone was initially classed as a Group 3 event. It was promoted to Group 2 status in 1983.
