"Surrender" is a song by the Electric Light Orchestra, and was released as a bonus track on the 2006 remastered version of their 1976 studio album "A New World Record".
Originally the track was written in '76 for a film that was eventually cancelled[cite web| last = Lynne| first = Jeff| authorlink=Jeff Lynne| title = ftmusic.com| url=http://ftmusic.com/anewworldrecord/lyrics.html| accessdate=2007-07-29] . In 2006 Jeff Lynne finished the song and included it in the remastered version of the album A New World Record. The song became the band's first new single release in twenty years and the first download from the band available on the iTunes Store. Eventually charting at #81 in the UK Singles Chart, "Surrender" was the band's first song to chart since "Getting to the Point".]References
