Sarmad Abdul Ghafoor

Sarmad Abdul Ghafoor (Urdu: سرمد عبد الغفور) was the lead guitarist of the Pakistani band, Rung but now he plays for Atif Aslam.

Dedicated and disciplined, Sarmad had played and recorded extensively as an underground rock musician. He and his brother Sajid, a remarkably talented musician, have a band called Still. They have recorded their original music in English and were covered by IM as a highly promising underground rock act. Sarmad's main influences include Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Tori Amos, Dream Theater and Tool.

Sarmad has keen interest in sound engineering and audio production. He owns a private audio set-up in Islamabad, called S&M Studio.He's been producing the music for a while now. He has produced music for many artists such as Atif Aslam, Abbas Ali Khan, Jehangir Aziz, Nusrat Hussain, Saturn, Irtaash and many other artists as well. He has also studied music at Morley College in England. He holds an MPA degree from the University of Peshawar.
