Pool Closure
Until January 2005, Germantown High school had an operating pool, built on the lower level of the school. The pool was open to the public on specific days, and the Germantown Seahawks Swim Club (GSSC) held practices there. GSSC relocated to Noyes Pool in Milwaukee the same year after the pool's closure. GSSC made the decision to close the club at the end of the 2006 long course season, after hearing rumors that some county pools may be closing.
For a while, the Germantown Swim Teams practiced at near by Homestead High School, the arch rival of the Warhawks.
During 2005 multiple referendums were proposed to build a new pool. None of them passed, closing the pool.
The former pool area was converted into a gym, the school's third, with a long padded room on the side, which opened in January 2007.
