Charles Hooser was a Specialist in the
United States Army .On
November 24 ,2004 , he was given a handgun by SpecialistRami Dajani and jokingly shot 28-year-oldIraqi Luma Hadi in the head, not realizing the gun was loaded. She had been working as an interpreter for the United States Army atCamp Liberty ,Baghdad ,Iraq . He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years confinement and given areduction in rank and bad conduct discharge.The
