The Prix Daniel Wildenstein is a Group 2 flat horse race in France open to thoroughbreds which are three-years-old or above. It is run over a distance of 1,600 metres (approximately 1 mile) at Longchamp Racecourse, and it takes place annually, presently in late September or early October.

First run in 1882, the race was originally titled the Prix du Rond Point. Its distance was initially set at 2,200 metres, but this has been subsequently changed several times. The first alterations were in 1891, when it was cut to 2,000 metres, and in 1903, when it was increased to 2,100 metres. In 1909 the race length was restored to 2,000 metres.

Throughout World War I (and beyond) the Prix du Rond Point was abandoned, with no race from 1914 to 1919. For a single running in 1921 it was contested over 1,600 metres. The following year it began a more sustained period over 1,700 metres. During World War II the event was cancelled twice, in 1939 and 1940. Thereafter, when it could not be run at Longchamp, it was temporarily switched to Maisons-Laffitte (1943) and Tremblay (1944).

The distance of the Prix du Rond Point underwent more changes in the 1950s. In 1953 it was cut to 1,600 metres, and in 1958 it briefly returned to 1,700 metres. From 1959 the length was set at 1,400 metres. This was maintained until the present distance, 1,600 metres, was introduced in 1969.

When the present system of race grading began in 1971, the Prix du Rond Point was given Group 3 status. At this time the race took place in early September. From 1980 the event was run later that month, and in 1987 it was moved to the first Sunday in October, the same day as the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. The Prix du Rond Point was promoted to Group 2 level in 1990. It was switched to the Saturday of the "Arc" meeting in 2001.

The race was given its present title, the Prix Daniel Wildenstein, in 2002. This was in memory of Daniel Wildenstein (1917–2001), an art dealer who was also a leading racehorse owner and breeder. Wildenstein had been the champion owner in France in all three disciplines of the sport. He was the champion owner of flat racing nine times, jump racing fourteen times and harness racing seven times. Wildenstein owned many notable horses, including Allez France, All Along, Sagace and Arcangues. He twice won the Prix du Rond Point, with Faraway Son (1971) and Monsanto (1976).

The fastest winning time in the race over its present distance is 1m 35.6s. This was recorded by Homing in 1978.
