"The Last Theorem" is an Arthur C. Clarke science fiction novel co-written with author Frederik Pohl, published on August 5 2008. [cite web |url=http://www.amazon.com/s?search-alias=stripbooks&field-isbn=0345470214 |publisher=Amazon.com |title=The Last Theorem] [cite web |publisher=Del Rey Books |title=The Last Theorem |url=http://www.randomhouse.com/delrey/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780345470218] Pohl received a manuscript on 40 or 50 pages from Clarke, and just as many pages with notes, some of them so vague that not even Clarke could tell what they meant. The book was then written by hand by Pohl, as he is no longer able to type, before being typed by his wife. Clarke said in 2007 that "The Last Theorem" has taken a lot longer than I expected. That could well be my last novel, but then I've said that before". Just a few days before he died, on March 19 2008, Clarke finished reviewing the final manuscript of the novel. [cite news |publisher=AFP |title=Last odyssey for sci-fi guru Arthur C.
