Carl DePasqua (born
Williamsport, Pennsylvania ) was a NCAA football coach and NFL assistant coach. He started his head coaching career at tinyWaynesburg College south ofPittsburgh in 1966, winning the NCAA Division II National Championship with the Yellowjackets. In 1968 he served as an assistant coach for thePittsburgh Steelers before serving as the head football coach for theUniversity of Pittsburgh Panthers from 1969 to 1972. His Panther teams, although not bowl worthy, did turn in convincing wins against powerhouse teams such as West Virginia and Syracuse and posted a competitive season in 1970.External links
