Music

Mark Cowden is a vocalist/musician known for his time spent in Seattle at the tail end of the grunge era, however, Mark is originally from Oklahoma. Born March 10, 1975 in Muskogee, he is the grandson of Jim Reeves fiddle player and Grand Ole Opry star, Emett Day. Mark starting writing songs at age 10 and after finishing high school, he played in various bands in the South of the United States, ending up in Dallas, Texas where he recorded his first single. After his time in Dallas, Mark joined forces with former Barry White bassist Jacque Neeley, co-producing various R and B, rap and hip hop singles for Neeley's record label, Celebrity Time Entertainment. Marks next venture took him to Seattle, Washington where he recorded two albums with Seattle band ‘My Mother Madness’. During Mark's time in Seattle he performed live on stage with artists such as Stephen Perkins, Jane's Addiction/Porno for Pyros and Leon Hendrix, brother of Jimi Hendrix. After spending the better part of the 1990s in Seattle, Mark relocated to Belfast, Northern Ireland to front Electro/Industrial band [http://www.fragilehumanorgans.co.uk/ Fragile Human Organs] , recording an ep and various singles which took the new internet download generation by storm. Being one few if not the only known american industrial musician with a Seattle grunge background, Mark put his own unique stamp on electro/industrial vocals helping FHO develope their online cult audience while being compared to bands such as Tool and Nine Inch Nails. Fragile Human Organs single ‘Lapis Lazuli’ ended up in the top 100 downloads in Australia on mp3.com Australia. Every copy of the Lapis single contained an actual lapis lazuli stone and was given away for free at concerts and on the official FHO website. Fragile Human Organs can still be heard on radio stations throughout the world as well as industrial music clubs in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Denmark and the UK.

Film

In addition to making a name in the music industry, Mark has also achieved credits in the film industry. Usually working in the role of publicity, he has filmed and worked with a number of actors such as Rupert Grint "Harry Potter", Arielle Kebbel "John Tucker Must Die", Sarah Carter "Skinwalkers", Rachael Taylor "Transformers" and Sean Faris "Never Back Down". Mark's tevevision credits include BBC Blast where a young band got the chance to film their first music video directed by Mark, with the whole process filmed start to finish by BBC camera's.
