absolute monarchy period of the early-1900s. He was Chief of Staff of theRoyal Thai Army , Commander of theRoyal Thai Navy , Naval Minister, Army Minister, Defense Minister, Interior Minister, andPrivy Counsellor to KingVajiravudh and KingPrajadhipok . He wasexile d following the 1932 coup that overthrew the absolute monarchy of King Prajadhipok. Prince Paripatra died while in exile.A potential heir to the Thai throne according to the
1924 Palace Law of Succession , Prince Paripatra produced eight children with his royal wife, Mom Chao (HSH Princess) Prasongsom Paripatra(Chaiyan). Only two of them, however, were sons and only one of these survived to adulthood:Chumbhotpong Paripatra . He also had a son with a commoner wife, Mom Somphan Paripatra na Ayudhaya (Palakawong):Sukhumbhinanda - father of Mom RatchawongSukhumbhand Paripatra , a Thai politician.References
