Fatima Karan, born in Rome and an Indian citizen, is a leading anchor on CNN IBN, CNN's joint venture foray into India. She anchors business news during the week and lifestyle reports over the weekend. Prior to joining CNN IBN, Fatima spent 5 years working in the investment management group of Barclays in London. Fatima is the daughter of a UN diplomat and grew up between Italy, India, Nepal and the United States. She is an alumnus of Boston University, USA. She is married to Gaurav Karan, a business entrepreneur.
