21 September 1952 inStockton-on-Tees ,County Durham ) is an English formercricketer who played a handful of times for Worcestershire in the early 1970s.He had a short run in the first team in 1972 after taking 5-41 and 3-29 against Glamorgan seconds, and played a single one-day match the following season, but he never enjoyed any great success, taking only four wickets in first-class and List A games combined. However, his victims were all substantial cricketers:
Malcolm Nash andBasher Hassan in theCounty Championship , andGordon Greenidge andRoger Prideaux in the John Player League.Shutt's batting was extremely poor: in 24
innings at first- and second-team level he scored a total of just 35 runs. His highest score was a mere 8, and he failed to score on 17 occasions; indeed, in the middle of his career he got off the mark only twice in a series of 14 consecutive innings.External links
