"Themes For Derek Jarman's Blue" was a 7" vinyl single by Coil to commemorate their appearance on the soundtrack for the movie "Blue" by director Derek Jarman. This single was released in an edition of 1,000 blue copies and 23 yellow copies, however more yellow copies are believed to be in circulation, possibly illegitimately. The catalogue number is LOCI S1.
A version of the "Theme From Blue" appears on the film's CD soundtrack with overlapping monologue.
"Theme From Blue I" and "Theme From Blue II" were later released on "Unnatural History II", where their track names first appeared. "Theme From Blue I"'s beginning is different than the version on "Unnatural History II".
"Themes For Derek Jarman's Blue" is the name of the single as it appears on the insert. "Theme From Blue" is the title of the songs as listed on the "Unnatural History II" track listing.
An insert and two stickers accompanied this release.
The vinyl is etched as follows: Side A: LUMINOUS DARKNESS, Side B: GO INTO THE LIGHT
