Federation of Environmental Trade Associations

Federation of Environmental Trade Associations

The Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA) is the recognised UK body which represents the interests of manufacturers, suppliers, installers and contractors within the heating, ventilating, refrigeration & air conditioning industry. It is split into five principle Associations - BCIA - BFCMA, BRA, HEVAC and HPA.

The FETA Network FETA works closely with Government bodies, other Associations and organisations.

What FETA does

Here are some of the areas that FETA was involved in recently:
* FETA secured considerable funding from DTI to support the HEVACR 2005 productivity improvement programme for the sector until 2003
* The FMA guidance note on fan installation effects, the Humidity Group Code of Practice on cold water systems and the BFCMA supplementary explanation to Part J of the Building Regulations were but three of the significant publications released in 2001.
* The FETA marketing scholarships and HPA student awards were presented at the Annual Lunch in April, and the BRA trust for skills and training provided a range of additional awards to RAC Student of the Year finalists in December.
* Market statistics for air conditioning, air distribution and refrigeration equipment continue to be compiled.
* International activity via the European Partnership for Energy & Environment.
* Seminars on key topics, such as the Pressure Equipment Directive and HEVACR 2005, were provided for both members and non-members.
