Édgar Albino Huerta was born in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, one January 28th of 1980
Early as a child he expressed interest to music composition and production, but his parents did not understand him, which lead to experimenting with music programs on an obsolete computer.
When old enough, Edgar started working in the afternoons after school, with the intention to buy some musical equipment. The first thing he got was a second hand keyboard on which he taught himself how to play, and later on he got a new computer and a more music programs, on which he started working on his first compositions.
Later on he started entering into the musical world, that is how he met Richie and Denisse, with them group Belanova was started on the year 2000.
On its beginnings this group had no other intention but to satisfy the creative needs of the three friends: It was about creating music that will fill them. And that is how it was for their first years, until in 2003 when the opportunity to launch their first album was presented, Cocktail, which got a moderate success, but some of their singles conquered important spots on the popularity charts, which put Belanova on the music world.
Later came 2005, when the second album was launched, which was a complete success: Dulce beat. Then country tours where started and they started to become know over seas, and their success was breaking frontiers. The following year, 2006, the album was revised with acoustic versions and remixes of their hit songs.
Latin Disney invited Belanova to become part of the popular High School Musical soundtrack, they recorded one of the original songs from the movie "What I’ve been looking for", on its Spanish version, "Eres tú".
For the year 2007 Belanova launched its third album, Fanatasía Pop, which counts with the participation of
Fito Páez , who plays the piano on the acoustic version of the song "Toma mi mano", the same one chosen as theme song for the mexican movie Hasta el viento tiene miedo.The first single of this last production which is at the top of the list on the popularity chart was "Baila mi corazon".
Just like it happened with Dulce Beat in 2005, Cachorro Lopez co-produced Fanatasía Pop along with the trio from Guadalajara in Argentina. Édgar also has solo proyects aside from Belanova, on his production phase he produced various independent bands from Guadalajara, from which Telefunka and Buró Sputnik are well known.
