J. David Baker

J David Baker (born 31 July, 1973 in Bellflower, California) is an American film producer.

Career

In 1989, Baker began his film and television career working for Casey Treat in Seattle, Washington. He moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1994 and began working for Willie George Ministries in their television department. There, he developed his skills as an editor and worked his way into becoming the primary visual effects supervisor. He continues to be employed by Church on the Move, which is affiliated with Willie George Ministries.

Independent projects

In addition to his work for Willie George, Baker has produced several projects under his production company, Catalyst Productions. In 2004 he wrote, directed, and produced a feature film for Christian families called "Spy Corps" [imdb name|2321621] . "Spy Corps" was initially released in 2006 on DVD as "RSTC: Reserve Spy Training Corps". In 2007 it was renamed to "Spy Corps" and distributed by By the River's Side Films with a release date of November 20 [imdb company|0222160|By the River's Side Films] .

On August 24, 2006, Baker wrote a book of puppet skits called "How To Be Wicked and Eaten By Dogs", published by Outskirts Press [ [http://outskirtspress.com/webpage.php?isbn=9781598006209 Outskirts Press Page for "How To Be Wicked and Eaten By Dogs"] ] . In March 2007, Baker began a monthly podcast titled ReFURbished Tails. The podcast features a group of dog puppets that attempt to perform Bible stories on a theater stage.
