Dr. iur. Hermann Freiherr von Richthofen (born 20 November
1933 inBreslau ) is a German diplomat.He was ambassador to the
United Kingdom from1989 to1993 , and his name made him a media favourite. He was later ambassador to theNATO headquarters from 1993 to 1998.Hermann von Richthofen is married with three children, and is the grand-nephew of
Manfred von Richthofen , "the Red Baron".Career History
