Clive Jones is a recurring fictional character in the British science fiction television series "Doctor Who", played by Trevor Laird. He is the father of the Tenth Doctor's companion Martha Jones and of Tish and Leo Jones. He is divorced from his children's mother, Francine Jones. He was one of the 2% of the population not to be affected by the Archangel network ["Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia", Garry Russell, BBC Books 2007] , although in "The Sound of Drums", Clive is seen to be co-operating with Francine and the "Sinister Woman", but he betrays them by warning Martha over the phone away from coming to Francine's house. This leads to his and Francine's arrest and Clive is seen shouting at his neighbours that it is their fault for voting Saxon. In "Last of the Time Lords", Clive is seen to have been forced to work as a servant for the Master aboard the Valiant for a year. During this time, he and Francine appear to have reconciled their differences. Clive conspires with the Doctor, Jack Harkness, Francine and Tish against the Master, but their rebellion is quashed. He vows secretly to kill the Master keen to save his family the task. As Clive was aboard the Valiant, (in the "eye of the storm" as the Doctor termed it), he was one of few people to remember the past year's events when time was rolled back.
