Pentecostal Charismatic Peace Fellowship

The Pentecostal Charismatic Peace Fellowship (PCPF) [Paul Alexander, "Pentecostal Charismatic Peace Fellowship." "Encyclopedia of Pentecostal and Charismatic Christianity." Stanley Burgess, ed. (New York, NY: Routledge, 2006).] is a multicultural, gender inclusive, and ecumenical organization that promotes peace, justice, and reconciliation work among Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians. Members and adherents in over twenty denominations, fifteen countries, and forty universities and seminaries participate.

The PCPF was first suggested in a paper presented in July 2001 at the European Pentecostal Charismatic Research Association [http://www.epcra.ch] conference in Leuven, Belgium by [http://www.pcpf.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=128&Itemid=46/ Paul Alexander] , an Assemblies of God minister and professor from Texas (USA). By March 2002 about thirty Pentecostals and Charismatics had signed on after another version of the original paper was presented at the Society for Pentecostal Studies conference in Lakeland, Florida.

Later that year [http://www.pcpf.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=124&Itemid=46/ Marlon Millner] penned [http://www.pcpf.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=261&Itemid=45/ "Send Judah First: An Open Letter to President George W. Bush,"] encouraging the USA not to invade Iraq. This letter, which was signed by many Pentecostal and Charismatic pastors, students, and teachers, helped launch the PCPF and brought together the leadership that continues to guide the organization.

The PCPF held its first conference, [http://www.pcpf.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=310&Itemid=46/ Intercession as a Way of Life: Peacemaking and Discipleship] , near Dallas, Texas in October, 2005. The following October they met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for [http://www.pcpf.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=363&Itemid=46/ Seeking the Peace of the City] . In October 2007 they met at the [http://www.hotdogchurch.com/ Hot Dog Church] in San Francisco, California for [http://www.pcpf.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=399&Itemid=1 Reconciliation: Message, Ministry, and Movement] .
