Pedro Petrone (May 11, 1904 — December 13, 1964), nicknamed "Artillero" was a Uruguayan footballer in the striker role. His nickname "Artillero", meaning artilleryman or gunner in reference to his amazing goalscoring prowess.

In his career he played for Nacional, where he won two National Tournaments (1924, 1934) and in Italy with Fiorentina, where he played 44 games and scored 37 goals (Top goalscorer in Serie A 1931-32).

Two times Gold medalist in the 1924 and 1928 Summer Olympics, he won the 1930 FIFA World Cup with Uruguay. He died in Montevideo at 60 years of age.

Petrone was two days shy of his 19th birthday when he accepted his 1924 Gold Medal & tournament top goalscorer award, he remains the youngest football Gold medallist to this day.

The official caps Petrone won stands at 29 with 24 goals however Olympic caps and early non Fifa officiated matches would bring this record to 80 caps and 36 goals.Petrone is currently fourth in the Uruguay top goalscorers list.
