Ljubisav Đokić

Ljubisav Đokić

Ljubisav "Džo" Đokić (Љубисав "Џо" Ђокић) (The nickname is the Serbian phonetical translation of "Joe") (born November 27, 1943) is a bulldozer operator who became the main symbol of the October 5th Overthrow of Slobodan Milošević in 2000 when he drove his bulldozer into the RTS building. His bulldozer was shot at by several bullets, and one of the bullets shot the windshield and missed him narrowly. The event is sometimes referred to as "The Bulldozer Revolution".

Đokić has a spinal deformity and was unemployed at the time. Soon after the overthrow, he started opposing the new government, saying it had done almost nothing to improve the standard of the war-torn country.
