BBC were impressed with his 2003 book "The Last Party: Britpop, Blair and the Demise of English Rock". The show was aired in mid-August 2005, in the same week thatThe Battle of Britpop had been "fought" ten years earlier.Contents of the show
The show started with a look at
grunge music and how British music was at an all-time low. It charted with the development of Blur, Suede,Elastica and Sleeper. Harris recalled the time when he was at the "Good Mixer" pub inCamden Town ,London with Noel andLiam Gallagher , on a "sightseeing" trip, when future rivalGraham Coxon was there. There was further information on other Britpop groups, such asMenswear . There was a focus ofTony Blair and his support of Oasis, as well as showing the decline of the movement.
