John Campbell "Jack" Ross (born March 11, 1899) is, at the age of 109, Australia's oldest man and the last Australian veteran of the First World War. He currently lives in Bendigo, Victoria. Born in Newtown, Victoria, he served as a wireless operator in the First Australian Imperial Force, enlisting in February 1918, but never left Australia or saw active service. Therefore, the Australian government does not recognize him as a veteran of the war.

The death of William Evan Allan in October 2005 left Ross as the last Australian digger from World War I. However, two World War I veterans who served Britain reside in Australia; Syd Lucas who lives in Victoria, andClaude Choules, who lives in Western Australia.
