Infrastructure Consortium for Africa

Infrastructure Consortium for Africa

The Infrastructure Consortium for Africa is a major new effort to accelerate progress to meet the urgent needs of Africa in support of economic growth and development.

A partnership between bilateral donors, multilateral agencies and African institutions, the ICA makes its members more effective at supporting infrastructure by pooling efforts in selected key areas. The ICA is a Gleneagles G8 commitment.

To underpin the work of the Consortium a Secretariat has been set up and located in the African Development Bank. Through the Secretariat, the Consortium collaborates closely with the AU, its NEPAD programme, the Regional Economic Communities and the AfDB.
