December 5 ,1982 inGlasgow ) is a Scottish professional footballer, currently playing forDumfries club Queen of the South.Dobbie started his career at Rangers, but failed to break into the Rangers first team despite being prolific in the reserve sides. In the final, Hibs were beaten 2–0 by Livingston and Dobbie was left out of the starting line-up for the game.A lack of opportunities at Hibs under the management of
Tony Mowbray meant that Dobbie signed forScottish First Division side St. Johnstone in January 2005, initially on loan. The transfer was made permanent in the summer of 2005, but he struggled to hold a regular place in the team. He was loaned out to Dumbarton, where he found some form.Dobbie's form at Dumbarton was noticed by Queen of the South, who signed Dobbie from St. Johnstone on

Despite a battling second half display Queens lost 3–2 to Rangers in the final with Dobbie substituted in the second half.
